Background and Research Interests

Upon obtaining a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain) in 2009, I completed an MA in Translation Technologies at the University of Geneva and simultaneously embarked on an online MA in medical translation organised by the Jaume I University (Valencia, Spain). After completing both masters, in July 2012 I joined the TIM/ISSCO Research Group and started working as a research and teaching assistant. I currently participate in the ACCEPT European project and devote most of my time to research in pre-editing and post-editing. As a PhD student, I am most interested in shedding some more light into this novel but still hazy and blurred area of post-editing, which is becoming a hot area of research in machine translation and creating new needs in an ever-changing translation market.
